Cardamom Orange with Cinnamon Pizzelle

- 3 (3) Eggs Room temprture
- ¾ cups (150 g) Sugar white
- ½ cup (113.5 g) Melted butter
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) Orange zest
- ⅛ teaspoon (0.13 teaspoon) Orange extract
- 1 ¾ cups (218.75 g) All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons (2 teaspoons) Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) Salt
- ¼ teaspoon (0.25 teaspoon) Ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) Ground cardamom
Preheat pizzelle maker and follow the manufacture instructions for non-stick spray or oil for your pizzelle maker.
Weigh or measure the flour, baking powder, cardamom, cinnamon, salt, and run a whisk through to blend. Melt the butter on the stove or in a microwave and set it aside to cool a little before adding it to the mixer with the eggs.
In a stand or hand-held mixer, beat the cooled melted butter, eggs, sugar, orange zest, and the orange extract for 3-4 minutes on a medium-high setting.
Take the bowl off the stand and gradully fold in the flour mixture till incorporated.
Take a heaping tablespoon and add to slightly above the center point on the pizzelle iron. Then bake for a minute to a minute and a half. Take them off the iron and lay flat to cool. When cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and enjoy!
