Countdown to Retirement: Discounts for Seniors on the Go!
Having Time to Travel!
One thing I am looking forward to is traveling once Mike and I retire. I have a sister in the mid-west and Mike has a sister in Florida which we would love to visit. Flying back from Florida one time in a storm we had a few tense moments. Both of us were a little shaken up by the time we landed, so we will probably travel by car and just take our time.
There are so many places that I want to visit and just take my time to explore. Going to the New England states has always been on my list. I love lobster and any seafood really, so that area will be one of the first places we travel to. Can you imagine the quaint small towns and individually owned shops to wander through? I also want to go through the south, Georgia, Virginia, North and South Carolina are a must. Have a friend in Georgia I need to see…
Senior Discount Web Sites.
Because we worked so much through the years we have not really had time to see the United States like we would have liked too but soon we will have that chance. But traveling by car means hotels, restaurants, department stores, grocery store, and pharmacies and every state has different options with different discounts for seniors. I found a great site that you can search by state and what discounts they offer for seniors. Senior Citizen Discount List
I am adding their logo so you can be sure you are on the right Web site, I found a couple with similar names.
I have created a free planner for you to record places you find with discounts by a state from the Senior Citizen Discount List web site. Please feel free to print as many as you need. It is 2 pages in one document. Please comment on whether the discount planner printable was helpful or not.
Other Senior Discount Travel Web Sites:
Please be careful of some sites that offer you the best discount if you send money, you do not need to pay for discounts unless you know the business and they have some kind of club you have to join. I stay away from businesses that make you pay for their discounts, this should be a privilege for you not a money maker for them.
Smart Phone Apps:
I found smartphone apps but they are getting mixed reviews for both Apple and Android. But the good thing is you can delete the apps if they do not work for your needs.
Google Apps for Android
Apple iOS App for iPhone
Web Site With Apps for Both
